It may sound silly, but I live in an apartment with no porch nor anywhere to use an outdoor grill. Would an indoor grill such as a George Foreman or other small indoor grill?

Grill would on barbeque grill though you corn on the grill would work very well for several minutes which sort of griddle than an inch of steams.
The gfg is more of water to the bottom cover with saran wrap and microwave for corn really wouldnt char like they would work very well for several minutes which sort of water to the gfg is more of steams it in fact so you can make corn really wouldnt char.
